Newsletter and guide requests

When you choose to subscribe, your email address and signup-page source are sent to Buttondown, our newsletter provider. Server-hosted signup also records the time and version of your consent. Buttondown sends a confirmation email. You join the list after confirming. Our welcome email includes a link to the free starter guide.

You can download the guide without subscribing. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link managed by Buttondown. We use subscription information to deliver the emails you requested, handle delivery issues, and manage the list. We do not sell your email address.

Your choices

Use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter to stop receiving it. To ask about access, correction, or deletion of your subscription information, reply to a newsletter. You can also manage your subscription through Buttondown’s subscriber links. Read Buttondown’s privacy policy.

Browser storage and server logs

The website stores your theme preference and, if you use the retained learning pages, lesson completion on your device. These preferences are not sent to a subscriber profile. Practice notes are not saved by the website. You can clear this information in your browser settings.

Our hosting provider may process standard request logs, such as IP addresses and browser information, to serve and protect the website. Buttondown handles signup protection. When using our server-hosted signup, a short-lived, in-memory request counter also limits abuse. We do not log submitted email addresses or payment details in application code.

Optional support

Resources are free. If optional contributions are enabled, payment is processed by Stripe on its secure checkout page. Card details do not pass through this website. Stripe handles payment information under its privacy policy. A contribution does not subscribe you to the newsletter.

How long information is kept

Subscriber information stays in Buttondown while needed to deliver and manage your subscription. Unsubscribing stops newsletters; providers may retain suppression records to respect your choice and records needed for their operations. Reply to a newsletter to request deletion or ask about these records.
