Our mission.
Music is Human advances human-made music through education, technology, and creative opportunity. We expand access to music education, empower musicians with resources and platforms, and preserve the culture of music for future generations.
Our vision.
A world where everyone has the opportunity to make music, human creativity remains at the heart of musical expression, and musicians have the knowledge, tools, and independence to share their work.
Three pillars.
Education and access
Make music education and participation more accessible, particularly for young people and people facing financial or educational barriers.
Artist empowerment
Provide independent musicians with the knowledge, technology, resources, and opportunities needed to create, distribute, promote, and sustain their music.
Music culture and preservation
Celebrate human creativity, promote music discovery, and preserve the cultural importance of music in all its forms through publications, documentation, history, and archival work.
Our first step.
We begin with the free Human-Made Music Starter Guide. A wider online resource library will follow as the work grows. The first version helps people learn how to make, promote, press, and distribute music without needing expensive equipment or industry permission.
What we believe.
Human creativity comes first. Music belongs to everyone. Musicians deserve independence. Music culture matters. Accessibility is essential.
